How Draft Waiver works

1. Connect your draft board

Install the Draft Waiver browser extension and open your draft room on Sleeper, ESPN, Yahoo, or CBS. The extension recognises the board from its URL and DOM signature — there is no draft ID to paste.

Picks are read as they appear and matched to Draft Waiver's player database using platform IDs first, then name and team similarity. Anything below the confidence threshold lands in a mismatch review queue instead of silently corrupting the board.

2. Lock in your league format

Valuations are only as good as the settings behind them. Import your league from Sleeper in one click, or use the settings wizard for Superflex, TE-Premium, PPR variants, roster sizes, and keeper penalties.

Imported settings re-sync periodically, so a mid-draft commissioner change does not leave your tiers stale.

3. Read the opponent predictions

For every manager picking between now and your next turn, Draft Waiver estimates a probability distribution across positions. The inputs are roster need (what the team still has to fill), board value (what is actually available), and scarcity (how fast the tier is draining).

Each prediction has a 'why' panel that breaks the probability into those factors, so you can sanity-check the model instead of trusting it blindly.

4. Act on value spikes

Your shortlist is ranked by VORP weighted by the chance a player survives to your next pick. When that survival probability collapses, the player becomes a value spike — the pick where waiting costs you the most.

The what-if simulator runs both branches so you can compare taking the spike now against the roster you would end up with by waiting one round.

5. Respond to panic picks

Reaches and positional runs trigger a Panicking Manager alert. Each alert comes with a counter-move: the option that gains the most value given how the room just shifted, with a one-tap way to move it to the top of your shortlist.
