Who should I start this week?

Drop in the players fighting for a lineup spot, set the matchup and how big their role is, and get a START or SIT call with the floor, the ceiling and the reasoning behind it.

Add at least two players with names and projections to get a verdict.

How the call is made

Projections are only the starting point. A matchup multiplier moves the median up or down, then role sets the spread: a bell-cow keeps most of his projection even in a bad script, while a committee back can score nothing or blow the week open. Positions with noisier weekly outcomes — tight end, kicker, defense — get a wider spread again.

The default call weights the median heavily because most weeks are won by avoiding zeroes. When you are the underdog, switch to the ceiling weighting and the tool will happily recommend the volatile player instead.

FAQ

How does the start/sit optimizer decide who to start?
It adjusts each player's projection for matchup difficulty, then builds a floor and a ceiling from their role — a bell-cow has a much safer floor than a committee back — and ranks them on a blended score.
What does the confidence level mean?
Lock means the gap is wide enough that the call holds in almost any game script. Lean is a real but small edge. Coin flip means the players are inside the weekly noise band and either answer is defensible.
When should I chase ceiling instead of floor?
Turn on 'need a ceiling week' when you are a big underdog, in a tournament or best ball, or need a blow-up game to win. It reweights the call toward upside rather than the safe median.
Is the start/sit tool free?
Yes. It runs in your browser with no account, email or payment, and works for Sleeper, ESPN, Yahoo and CBS leagues in any scoring format.
