How detection works on ESPN

ESPN's live draft room updates the pick list in place. The overlay watches that list, matches each name against a player identity index, and streams confirmed picks to your dashboard so the available pool always matches the real board.

ESPN name formatting trips up naive matching

Suffixes, initials, and defense entries are formatted differently from most ranking sources. Picks are resolved through identifiers first and fuzzy name matching second, with a confidence review for anything ambiguous.

Default ESPN scoring is not what most leagues use

Half-PPR and custom bonuses are common in ESPN leagues. Recommendations are recomputed against your league's actual scoring rather than a generic PPR ranking.

Autodraft pressure and the 90-second clock

The next-pick panel and its alternatives are ready before your turn, so an ESPN clock running down never forces a blind pick.

Questions ESPN drafters ask

Does this replace the ESPN draft app?

No. You keep drafting in ESPN. Draft Waiver runs alongside it and adds recommendations, survival odds, and run alerts.

Will it work in the ESPN live draft room?

Yes. The overlay attaches to the live draft room page and follows picks as the board updates.

What about auction drafts?

Snake drafts are fully supported. In auctions the value and tier-break signals still apply, but bid pacing is not automated.

Does it read my ESPN account data?

Only the draft board that is visible on screen. No credentials, no account details, no other tabs.
