How to read a fantasy football draft recap

A recap grades the picks you actually made against the board that existed when you made them. Here is how to interpret each part before sharing it with your league.

Value gained is measured at the pick, not at season end

Each selection is compared to the best available option at that exact moment. Taking the fourth-best player left when three better ones were on the board is a negative-value pick even if he outscores them later — the grade measures decision quality, not luck.

Roster construction is graded separately

You can win every individual pick and still build a bad roster. The construction score checks starter coverage, positional depth against bye weeks and whether your flex is a real starter or a filler.

Positional runs explain most reaches

Most 'reaches' happen right after a run at a position drains a tier. The recap flags which picks were run-driven so you can tell a panic pick from a planned one.

Common questions

Can I share a recap with people who do not have an account?
Yes. Recap links are self-contained and open for anyone — no login required.
Does the grade change after the season starts?
No. The grade is fixed to the board at draft time so it stays an honest record of the decisions you made.
