What a mock draft should teach you

A mock is practice for the decisions you will face, not a prediction of who you will get. Use each run to test one specific plan.

Run the same slot three times with different starts

From pick 7, try RB-RB, WR-WR and a Zero-RB start. Compare the round-6 rosters, not the round-2 ones. The differences that matter show up once the tiers break.

Practice the wheel

The turn is where most drafts are won or lost. Mocks let you learn which tiers survive the eight to sixteen picks between your selections in your league size.

Learn your room's tendencies

If quarterbacks go early in your home league, a mock at consensus ADP will mislead you. Adjust the simulated room to match how your league actually drafts.

Common questions

How many mocks should I run before a draft?
Three to five from your actual pick slot is enough to know the tier breaks. More than that and you start memorizing names instead of learning the shape of the board.
Is the mock draft free?
Yes, the simulator is free and requires no account.
